The Committee is institutionalized primarily to prevent any form of harassment to its women employees and students. The Committee will hear and examine complaints and grievances in relation to incidents of sexual harassment; inquire into the grievance and make recommendations towards the complaints brought in front of it so that such incidents are not repeated. If the ICC concludes that the allegations made were false or malicious, or the complaint was made knowing it to be untrue or forged, or misleading information has been provided during the inquiry, the complainant shall be liable to be punished as per the relevant provision of the aforementioned UGC Regulations 2015.
